TODDLER DANCE (AGES 2-3)

Children learn beginning dance terminology and positions through relatable, age appropriate imagery. Throughout the class children have the opportunity to try many forms of dance such as ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop, while gaining coordination, strength, flexibility and balance. This program encourages self expression while supporting each student’s unique physical, mental, and emotional development.

BALLET 1 (ages 5+)

Students learn beginning classical ballet technique through the structure of a standard ballet class format. Throughout each class, children work on developing new technical skills and executing precise patterns while observing proper ballet class etiquette. In every class we explore improvisation and its relation to musicality while dancing to music from classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Students also have the opportunity to learn basic choreography.

As students develop more body awareness, we are able to focus on alignment, flexibility, and strength while executing precise ballet "combinations," both at the barre and in center work.
