BABY DANCE (AGES 1y confident walkers - 2.5 y)
Little ones explore the joy of movement through creative play! During this 100% movement-based class we focus on tactile exercises and games while using props that encourage a love of music and movement. Get ready to boogie to the beat and join us as we bounce, stretch, balance, and play!
TODDLER DANCE (AGES 2-3)
Children develop body awareness and strengthen their growing muscles through creative movement and dance! Classes engage the imagination to keep children having fun while moving and learning. Students also gain independence as they build the confidence to take class on their own. Parental assistance is an option if a parent wishes to provide their child with additional comfort and encouragement.
PRE-K DANCE (ages 3-5)
Children learn beginning dance terminology and positions through relatable, age appropriate imagery. Throughout the class children have the opportunity to try many forms of dance such as ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop, while gaining coordination, strength, flexibility and balance. This program encourages self expression while supporting each student’s unique physical, mental, and emotional development.
BALLET 1 (ages 5+)
Students learn beginning classical ballet technique through the structure of a standard ballet class format. Throughout each class, children work on developing new technical skills and executing precise patterns while observing proper ballet class etiquette. In every class we explore improvisation and its relation to musicality while dancing to music from classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Students also have the opportunity to learn basic choreography.
BALLET 2 (ages 6+)
Ballet 2 encourages students to dance with joy and confidence while emphasizing technique, class etiquette, and discipline of movement in a light-hearted and graspable way. As students' confidence builds, teachers suggest ways to improve positions, alignment, and posture through gentle "corrections." Throughout the class, we continue to highlight musicality while dancing to music from classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Coppelia. Students also have the opportunity to practice memorization of basic choreography.
BALLET 3 (ages 8+)
Students further their training in the fundamentals of classical ballet technique while continuing to explore their natural sense of creativity through improvisation exercises. Ballet 3 encourages students to dance with joy and confidence while emphasizing technique, class etiquette, and discipline of movement in a light-hearted and graspable way. As students develop more body awareness, we are able to focus on alignment, flexibility, and strength while executing precise ballet "combinations," both at the barre and in center work. Throughout the class, we continue to highlight musicality while dancing to music from classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Coppelia. Students also have the opportunity to practice memorization of ballet choreography.
Hip Hop (Ages 5+)
In this high-energy hip hop dance class, students will learn basic footwork while grooving to the beat. Through age appropriate music and moves, students will enhance their sense of rhythm and musicality while soaking in the fundamentals of hip hop. This fun, upbeat class, encourages self expression and motivates young dancers to move with power and confidence.
