SCHOLARSHIPS

Aidan and Ms. Allegra stretching before class.

In the Spring of 2020, we received a generous donation to our scholarship fund from the Stevens family. Their late son, Aidan, studied with Ms. Allegra at the age of 1 and 2 and unexpectedly passed shortly before his third birthday. Aidan was an energetic, happy, toddler who's love of dance was absolutely contagious. He was an enthusiastic dancer and beautiful soul and he will be deeply missed by the community. After his passing, Aidan's family raised money to help fund the local businesses, classes, and programs in which Aidan enjoyed as a toddler, as well as provide scholarship options to these programs for underprivileged kids. Their kindness and generosity has provided scholarship opportunities to children who are passionate about dance as much as Aidan was, but lack the financial ability to pay for lessons. We thank the Stevens family for their gift and know that Aidan's loving spirit will live on in many ways, including sharing his enthusiasm for dance with many more students.

Brooklyn Dance Conservatory is proud to offer both financial and merit based scholarships. We stand by our mission that dance should be accessible to everyone regardless of financial status. Brooklyn Dance Conservatory has provided over $7000 in scholarships for outdoor classes in 2020 and 2021.
